Over the last decade John’s USAID / UN assignments in destination development, private-sector engagement and workforce development have taken him to Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Iraq and Afghanistan. He spent 14 years on Guam, America’s Gateway to Asia, expanding the DFS duty-free retail empire, managing the Guam Visitors Bureau market research department, and chairing the International Tourism Department at the University of Guam. John consulted throughout the Pacific-Asia region and took a lead role in the PATA Young Tourism Professionals program.

John also taught international tourism at Arizona State University where he worked closely with Native American communities to collectively program and market their cultural and natural attractions. High on the the Mogollon Rim, John owned and operated a luxury fly-in vacation estate.

John specializes in aligning local community and investor solutions with international best practices. He is currently a visiting faculty member of international hospitality and tourism at Saint Leo University in Florida and an advisor to Florida’s Nature Coast CVBs.

Sachin thrives on growing businesses innovatively, sustainably and globally. Most recently he led PlanetWildlife, a multinational tourism operator that he helped grow both organically and through acquisitions.

As a consultant and business manager he has had the opportunity to work in disparate industries, including payment services, technology and business services besides tourism. This experience has been gained in an international context having included work in India, US, South Africa, UK, France and Spain.

Sachin's leisure interests include travel, photography and politics. He is an engineer from the University of Delhi, India and an MBA from INSEAD, France.

Yuri brings 17 years experience working in the travel and tourism industry, with experience across the entire value chain – from front-end hospitality to high level tourism planning and policy.

Specializing in community engagement and emerging destinations, he focuses on developing a shared vision among stakeholders and implementing programs that have far reaching community benefits. Some of the organizations he has worked with include the World Bank, Clinton Foundation, U.S. Peace Corps, USAID, U.S. Travel Association, Tourism Cares, Solimar International and Starwood Hotels.

Yuri has a Masters in Tourism in Sustainable Destination Management from George Washington University’s Business School and a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He has worked on tourism development projects all over the world from Peru and Haiti to Mali and Sri Lanka.

Eileen is passionate about crafting tourism’s potential to contribute to development goals.  A sustainable tourism development professional, she brings over 15 years of experience at global, national, and community levels leading product development, marketing, partnership and destination development efforts in Latin America, Africa, and Asia.

Eileen played a pivotal management role in developing and implementing USAID’s Global Sustainable Tourism Alliance (GSTA) programs in Africa and Latin America.  At Conservation International, she advised and trained field staff on tourism project development including Bolivia’s first profitable community-owned ecolodge and securing Chinese government support for sustainable tourism development in the Szechuan province.

She is author of Project Development for Sustainable Tourism: A Step by Step Approach (USAID, George Washington University and United Nations World Trade Organization (UNWTO) Themis Foundation Tourism and is co-author of Linking Tourism, Communities & Conservation: A Tourism Assessment Process from GW and CI. Eileen has a Masters of Tourism Administration and Destination Management from GW.
